Silent Auction Fundraising Results
SIMON HOME TIMBER & HARDWARE Toowoomba have been fundraising to help chronically ill tradie Mitch Kronk suffering from a debilitating rare kidney disease.
The latest fundraiser, a Silent Auction and Appeal on My Cause, produced proceeds of $1,668.10 to help with Mitch's medical expenses.
We again would like to thank NRL Legend Billy Moore for his generous donation of a signed Special Edition State of Origin Jersey, which Simon Home Timber & Hardware had beautifully framed.
A very special Thanks goes to our winning Auction bidder, Scott Millis of Carter Holt Harvey. His very generous bid will see the limited edition 1995 State of Orgin Jersey go to a very good home in Brisbane. Thank you to everyone who made a bid and to those who donated via My Cause.
Carter Holt Harvey kindly allowed us to display the Jersey at their stand at the Home Timber & Hardware Conference / Trade Expo, helping us to raise awareness and secure more bids - entry fees were $5. Scott made a bid himself and his generousity ensured he's now taking the jersey home.
Tania Zaetta, the HTH official MC / celebrety host was also instrumental in helping to promote our Silent Fundraising Auction at the Trade Expo.
We look forward to seeing Scott in our Toowoomba branch on Thursday, May 12th when he'll pick up his special prize.
Mitch is a young Toowoomba tradie struck down by a cruel kidney disease which already took the life of his, at the time, 22 year old sister. His family have been customers of SIMON HOME for a long time. While our fundraising efforts are merely a drop in a huge ocean, with the help of wonderful people such as Billy Moore and Scott Millis, we hope to provide a little support during unimaginable tough times for Mitch and his family.
We all wish Mitch all the very best.
