You can build the best, hi-tech ship in the world but if you don’t have a good crew it’s just a big empty metal thing that sails around rudderless until it eventually hits a rock and sinks.
We think the good ship Simon Home has the best crew that ever set sail; no big heads or pirates amongst this lot just a bunch of happy, dedicated, hard-working people who want to help and more importantly have the knowledge and ability to be the answer, not part of the problem.
There’s a very healthy ‘we’ rather than ‘them and us’ between decks too, a melding of ideas between management, admin, retail and manufacturing that creates a highly productive and enjoyable work environment.
As any good captain knows a few old hands among the crew are vital when storms are brewing on the horizon, sage advice and a calming word are invaluable when the winds are howling and we have enough experienced hands to keep the ship on an even keel. We also ensure we keep an eye out for new trends and developments in the timber and hardware industry so we can continue to offer you the best possible product.
